MEETING SITE

The 2012 conference is being held on the campus of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Friday sessions will be held in the Brown-Lupton University Union (BLUU). Saturday sessions will be held in Moudy North.

Texas Christian University is located on the southwest side of Fort Worth.

If you are traveling by car...

From the North, South, East, or West, travel to Interstate 30 and head toward downtown Fort Worth. West of downtown is the S. University Dr. exit. You can reach TCU by exiting onto S. University Dr. and heading south until you reach the campus. Detailed directions from I-30 to the Brown-Lupton University Union can be found via this map.

By air...

If you are arriving at DFW International Airport, the driving directions still apply, however this map will provide you with additional directions.

If you are flying into Dallas Love Field, this map will help you find your way to Fort Worth.

Friday's activities are in the Brown-Lupton University Union (BLUU - in the red box on the map) and the Kelly Alumni and Visitor's Center. Visitor parking is available immediately across the street from the BLUU with overflow parking available in Lot 3 (lots are circled in red.) Note that due to construction, Lot 3 may only be accessible via W. Cantey St.


Saturday's sessions are in Moudy North (in the blue box on the map) and parking is available immediately north of Moudy or in a large lot on Rogers Street north of campus (lots are circled in blue.)

Arrangements have been made for a special conference rate ($114/night) at the Marriot SpringHill Suites at 3250 Lovell Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76107, north of campus near I-30 and S. University Dr. You may book online and receive the conference rate by using the following link:

Please book before this date as all reservation requests and/or changes in reservations received after the cut off date will be based on a space and rate availability.

CONFERENCE LUNCHEON

As is our tradition, a luncheon has been planned for Friday, March 2. It will be served at the Kelley Visitor's Center which is across the street from the Brown-Lupton University Union. Luncheon attendees will have a choice between a Tortilla style casserole or Roast chicken along with side dishes served buffet style. The cost for the luncheon is $18 and you must indicate on your conference registration form that you plan to attend. To be included in the luncheon, registration and payment must be received by February 24, 2012. See the registration form for details.

Fort Worth offers many fine and casual dining opportunities. For restaurants in the Southwest area of Fort Worth, consult this guide (Blue Mesa Grill on S. University Dr. is particularly recommended for those wanting a taste of Southwest cuisine.)

AREA ATTRACTIONS

There are a multitude of things to do in Fort Worth, ranging from western culture to artistic culture.

Of particular interest to TSMT attendees may be the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra concert in the beautiful Bass Performance Hall in downtown Fort Worth. The concert features performances of Schumann's Piano Concerto in A minor and Frank's Symphony in D minor.
