The Texas Society for Music Theory will hold its 36th annual meeting at the University of Texas at San Antonio. The keynote address will be given by Peter Kaminsky from the University of Connecticut.

Location:

The meeting will be held at the University of Texas at San Antonio Downtown Campus. All sessions will take place in the Buena Vista Street Theatre which is located in the Buena Vista Street Building. Directions and Parking information can be found in these Visitor Directions.

A TSMT luncheon will be held on Friday, March 7 at the Doubletree Downtown banquet room. The Doubletree is within walking distance of the conference. The menu will feature a fajita/enchilada buffet, with a vegetarian option. The cost of the luncheon is $23.00. If you wish to attend, please include this amount in your remittance, along with your registration. To participate in the luncheon, registration must be completed and paid by Monday, March 3, 2014. Travel:

The University of Texas at San Antonio downtown campus is located close to the River Walk downtown and La Villita. The conference is about 11 miles south of the San Antonio International Airport. From airport, take McAllister Freeway (Texas 281) south towards downtown. Ground transportation from the airport is the best way to get to the conference. Parking is free at the Doubletree hotel. There are many restaurants to choose from in the downtown/market square districts. There is a Mexican restaurant across the street from the conference called Pico de Gallo, however, they are often very busy and will likely not be able to accommodate a quick lunch hour during the conference on Friday. However, for dinner options there are a variety of American, Tex Mex and Italian choices on the River Walk and Market Square District.
