A Look at Music Literacy in Mexico

Regarding students at my local Music School, a teacher told me: "...children don't lack of talent, they lack of opportunities to develop their skills..." The Mexican Education System suffers from big gaps in the arts, resulting in generations of children and young people with little interest and limited appreciation of these important human activities.

However, this current condition is slowly changing thanks to parents, teachers, and benefactors who are deeply engaged with the purpose of rescuing this fundamental part of a complete education. Strategies for improving to approach to music concepts and implementing an accurate methodology are both essential for achieving the primary goal: a significant musical education.
